General Guidelines - Walden Federal and its affiliates, Investment Marketplace located at Walden Federal and Valley Services, Inc, respect your privacy. We want you to understand how we use the information we collect from you to provide you with the products and services that you have come to expect from us. The following Privacy Disclosure explains the procedures and policies we use.

Collection, Retention, and Use of Information About You - Walden Federal  collects nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

· Information we receive from you on applications or other forms,
· Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
· Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency.

Walden Federal's web site site consists of informational and transactional sections. The transactional section consists of all areas associated with Walden Federal's e-Bank.  The e-Bank area includes sections accessed from the "online banking" link on the menu directory. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for each of these sections.

INFORMATIONAL
You can visit this site and find out about our products and services or other information without giving us any information about yourself.

We do not collect identifying information about visitors to our site. All visitors remain anonymous. Our site does not use "cookies" in any way.

While cookies can be useful for enabling a web site to track which users have seen what information, many people resent the invasion of privacy they represent. Hence, our web site does not use or collect cookies.  

We use standard software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

  1. The type of Browser being used
  2. The date and time our site was accessed
  3. The IP address - This address is a unique string of numbers that identifies a computer on the Internet. These numbers are usually shown in groups separated by periods, like this: 206.231.2.20 All resources on the Internet must have an IP address--or else they're not on the Internet at all.

We use this information to create summary statistics and to determine the level of interest in information available on our site.

E-mail is our preferred method of communication and we value the privilege to use it. Visitors may elect to provide us with personal information via E-mail, [online registration forms]. This information is used internally, as appropriate, to handle the sender's request. It is not disseminated or sold to other organizations.

TRANSACTIONAL
In the transactional section, a single cookie is used for the transactional session information only.  A unique session number appended with a number associated with the customer's FI, is stored in a "session cookie" as part of the log on process.  No customer or transaction data is ever placed in the cookie.

These per-session or temporary cookies are stored only for the current browsing session and are deleted from the user's computer when their browser is closed.


III.  No disclosures outside of exceptions

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. We may disclose all of the information we collect as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.

IV.  Confidentiality and Security

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
