Walden Federal Opens Sixth Branch

 

New branch on Rte 52 in the Town of Newburgh

 

September 17, 2007, Walden, NY – Walden Federal has opened its sixth branch office at 211 South Plank Rd, Newburgh, near the intersection with Rte 300.  The branch is a full service banking office with a drive up teller and ATM.  Donna Powles is the branch manager.

 

“Walden Federal continues to grow and to expand banking opportunities for our customers,” stated Thomas Gibney, President.  “Our new branch is conveniently located near the intersection of Rtes 52 and 300 and offers full banking products and services to all Walden Federal customers.”

 

As part of the opening of the new branch, Walden Federal will introduce a new Gift Campaign on October 1st.  When customers open a Walden Federal Grand Opening 1 year CD, offered at a special introductory rate, for $10,000 or more along with a checking account, they will receive a gift card that will entitle them to select a gift either online or from a gift catalog.  Gifts include diamond necklaces, digital cameras, watches, power tools and other upscale choices.

 

Donna Powles, Branch Manager, comes to Walden Federal with over fifteen years as a banking and financial services professional.  Her experience includes branch management, staff training and a dedication to service quality.  Donna holds a BS degree from St. John’s University, Queens, NY and a NYS Life and Accident & Health Insurance License.
